An \(\mathrm{M}^{[X]}/\mathrm{G}/1\) retrial G-queue with single vacation and an unreliable server is investigated. This queue can be used to model a system where the positive customers receive service immediately if the server is free upon their arrivals. Otherwise, they may enter a retrial orbit and try their luck after a random time interval. Negative customers not only remove the customer being serviced, but also put the server under repair. The server leaves for a single vacation as soon as the system empties. The authors analyzes the ergodic condition of this model. The steady-state solutions to the differential equations derived from the model are obtained. These results provide excellent tools for solving many practical problems such as queuing models for telephone switching systems, telecommunication networks, etc.
