On Weierstrass' monsters and lineability (Q386808)

Let \(W_a(x)=\sum_{k=0}^\infty a^k\cos(9^k\pi x)\) for \(7/9<a<1\). The authors prove that these Weierstrass functions form a basis of the linear space \(V\subset C(\mathbb R)\) such that every function \(f\in V\setminus\{0\}\) is nowhere differentiable. This means that the set of all continuous nowhere differentiable functions is \(\mathfrak{c}\)-lineable.
