In the paper, the problem of existence of fixed points of multivalued mappings of a complete metric space \(X\) into nonempty closed (compact) subsets of \(X\) is considered. The author attempts to present theorems where, in the contraction condition, the Hausdorff distance is replaced by the ordinary distance function. Some results of such type (with a number of additional conditions not simple to verify) are presented. The obtained results (with limited validity for the theory of fixed points for set-valued mappings) are presented without (interesting) examples.
