    In this paper the authors consider a nonlinear Fokker-Planck system modeling haptotaxis and angiogenesis in the following form \[ \begin{cases} {\partial \over \partial t}n = \Delta n-\nabla \cdot [n\chi(c)\nabla c], & t>0, x\in \mathbb{R}^d \\ {\partial \over \partial t}c = -cn, & t>0, x\in \mathbb{R}^d \\ n(0,x)=n^0(x)\geq 0, \;c(0,x)=c^0(x)\geq 0, & x\in \mathbb{R}^d. \end{cases} \] Here \(d\geq 2\), \(n(t,x)\) represents the population density of cells moving according to biased random motion towards high values of concentration of a substance denoted by \(c(t,x)\), and the sensitivity \(\chi(x)\) is a given decreasing smooth positive function on \(\mathbb{R}^+\). The De Giorgi method is used to gain regularizing effects in \(L^{\infty}\) and the following main result, among others, is obtained: For \(c^0\in L^{\infty}(\mathbb{R}^d)\) and \(\|n^0\|_{L^{d/2}(\mathbb{R}^d)}\) small enough, a classical solution to the above system satisfies \[ \|n(t,\cdot)\|_{L^{\infty}(\mathbb{R}^d)}\leq {C(d,\|c^0\|_{\infty})\over t} \] for \(t>0\).
