This article provides two examples of nonlinear equations for which the Noether theorem about conserved quantities does not apply and which possess yet invariants. This is based on a theorem of \textit{N. H. Ibragimov} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 333, No. 1, 311--328 (2007; Zbl 1160.35008)]. The first example deals with a class of cubic Schrödinger equations with time-dependent coefficients. It is shown to be weakly self-adjoint according to [\textit{M. L. Gandarias}, J. Phys. A, Math. Theor. 44, No. 26, Article ID 262001, 6 p. (2011; Zbl 1223.35203)]. This allows to define a Lagrangian and derive a few invariants using the Lie symmetry as presented in Ibragimov's theorem (and using Maple software). The second example deals with a class of cubic-quintic Schrödinger equations with time-dependent coefficients. It is shown to be quasi self-adjoint according to [\textit{N. H. Ibragimov}, ``Quasi-self-adjoint differential equations'', Arch ALGA, 4, 55--60 (2007)]. This allows to define a Lagrangian and derive a few invariants like in the previous example.
