A point \(x\) is a tight point of \(X\) if for every family \(\mathcal{E}\) of subsets in \(X\) such that for every neighborhood of \(U\) of \(x\) there is \(E \in \mathcal{E} \) with \(U \cap E \neq \emptyset\), there is a countable \(\mathcal{F} \subseteq \mathcal{E}\) having the same property as \(\mathcal{E}\). A space \(X\) is said to be tight if every point of \(X\) is tight. The authors introduce the notions of \(\pi\)-network and supertight space which is stronger than the notion of tight space. It is shown that the Pixley-Roy hyperspace \(PR(X)\) is tight if and only if the space \(X\) is supertight.
