\textit{Y.-D. Lim} and \textit{M. Pálfia} [J. Funct. Anal. 262, No. 4, 1498--1514 (2012; Zbl 1244.15014)] introduced a family of operator power means of positive definite matrices for \(t\in[-1,1]\) and subsequently \textit{J. Lawson} and \textit{Y.-D. Lim} [``Karcher means and Karcher equations of positive definite operators'', Trans. Am. Math. Soc. (B) 1, 1--22 (2014; \url{doi:10.1090/S2330-0000-2014-00003-4})] extended it to the setting of positive invertible operators on a Hilbert space. The author of present paper generalizes the range \([-1,1]\), in which operator power means due to Lawson-Lim-Pálfia are defined, and study several properties of operator power means for \(t \in (-2, 2)\setminus [-1, 1]\).
