[For the entire collection see Zbl 0747.00046.] We investigate some of the theoretical aspects of axioms for software complexity measures. This work should be contrasted with work in metrology. At best we view software complexity measures to be ordinal measures. Metrology attempts to describe fundamental properties of all measures.
