The polynomial approach to \(\mathcal H_{\infty{}}\)-optimal regulation (English)

[For the entire collection see Zbl 0747.00043.] After an extensive review of the ``polynomial'' approach to the solution of the single-input single-output minimum sensitivity and mixed sensitivity problems a new solution is presented to the standard \({\mathcal H}_ \infty\)-optimal regulation problem based on polynomial \(J\)-spectral factorization. Besides a parametrization of all suboptimal compensators an explicit expression for all optimal compensators is obtained.
