On the isentropic approximation to two-dimension isothermal Euler system (Q403483)

The author considers the steady supersonic non-isentropic isothermal Euler system in two spatial dimensions. The internal energy \(e\) is linear with respect to \(\ln p\) and etropy \(S\). The isentropic case serves as an approximation. Provided that the initial data have small total variation and the solutions to both isentropic and non-isentropic systems are supersonic, the \(L_1\)-norm of the difference between the solutions is proven to be bounded by the third power of the total variation of the initial distribution.
