      In this paper an \(n\)-knot is a closed oriented codimension 2 smooth submanifold of \(S^{n+2}\), and knot cobordisms are cobordisms properly embedded in \(S^{n+2}\times[0,1]\). The main result is that if \(P\) and \(P'\) are Brieskorn polynomials in \(n+1\) variables such that no exponent is a multiple of another then the associated algebraic knots are cobordant if and only if \(P\) and \(P'\) have the same exponents (in which case the knots are isotopic). This follows from a more general result, which shows that the Witt equivalence class of the Seifert form over \(\mathbb{R}\) of the knot associated to a weighted homogeneous polynomial is determined by the weights. Stronger results are given for the special cases \(n=2\) or 3 in the final section.
