    Let \(k \geq 2\), \(d \geq 1\), \(r \geq 0\) be integers and \(S\subseteq \mathbb{R}^d\). A \(k\)-Tverberg partition \(\{A_1, A_2, \dots, A_k\}\) of \(S\) is said to be an \(r\)-tolerated \(k\)-Tverberg partition if for any subset \(C\) of \(S\), of cardinality \(r\), the convex hulls of the sets \(A_i\setminus C\) have a common fixed point. In this paper, extending Sarkaria's proof of Tverberg's theorem [\textit{K. S. Sarkaria}, Isr. J. Math. 79, No. 2--3, 317--320 (1992; Zbl 0786.52005)], the authors give a positive answer to the following conjecture launched in 2007 by Natalia García-Colín in her Ph.D. thesis:\ any set \(S \subseteq \mathbb{R}^d\) of \((r+1)(k - 1)(d+1)+1\) points admits an \(r\)-tolerated \(k\)-Tverberg partition.
