The stationary phase approximation is a basic principle of asymptotic analysis and relates to the real Fourier transform. In 1987, GĂ©rard Laumon introduced a corresponding principle of stationary phase related to the local \(l\)-adic Fourier transform. In this paper Jiangxue Fang shows that ``the formal germ at the infinity of the Fourier transform of a holonomic D-module depends only on the formal germ of the D-module at its singular points and at the infinity.'' The paper is very objective and focused in the main result, but includes the necessary information in order to be followed by a reader not specialized in the subject.
