    In this article is considered the Cauchy-Dirichlet problem for a system of nonlinear wave equations \[ \begin{cases} \Bigl(\partial_t^2-C_I^2\Delta +a(x)\partial_t\Bigr)u_I(t, x)=F_I(u, u', u'')(t, x)\quad \text{for}\quad t\in [0, \infty), x\in \mathbb R^3\backslash K,\\ u_I(t, x)_{|_{x\in \partial K}}=0\quad \text{for}\quad t\in (0, \infty),\\ u_I(0, x)=f_I(x), \partial_tu_I(0, x)=g_I(x)\quad \text{for}\quad x\in \mathbb R^3\backslash K, \end{cases}\tag{1} \] where \(1\leq I\leq D\), \((u_1,\dots, u_D)\) is denoted by \(u\), \(\{\partial_ju\}_{0\leq j\leq 3}\) is denoted by \(u'\), \(\{\partial_j\partial_ku\}_{0\leq j, k\leq 3}\) is denoted by \(u''\) with \(\partial_0=\partial_t\), \((F_1,\dots, F_D)\) is denoted by \(F\) and \(F\) vanishes to second order, \((f_1, \dots, f_D)\) is denoted by \(f\), \((g_1, \dots, g_D)\) is denoted by \(g\), \(K\) is a fixed compact domain in three dimensional Euclidean space \(\mathbb R^3\) with smooth boundary, \(a(x)\) is a nonnegative smooth function on \(\mathbb R^3\) with compact support, \(C_I>0\), \(1\leq I\leq D\) and \(C_1<\dots <C_D\). The author gives conditions for \(F\), \(f\), \(g\) under which the problem \((1)\) has a unique global solution \(u\in {\mathcal C}^{\infty}([0, \infty)\times \mathbb R^3\backslash K)\).
