    By the definition given in [\textit{G. Bennett}, J. Reine Angew. Math. 266, 49--75 (1974; Zbl 0277.46012)], a topological sequence space \(X\) is wedge if the sequence \(\left( \delta ^{n}\right) \), where \(\delta ^{n}:=\left( 0,\dots,1,0,\dots\right) \) with 1 in the \(n\)-th position, converges to 0 in \(X\). \textit{H. G. Ince} [Czech. Math. J. 52, No. 1, 141--154 (2002; Zbl 0996.46004)] studied so-called Cesàro wedge \(FK\)-spaces, replacing the convergence of \(\left( \delta ^{n}\right) \) in Bennett's definition with Cesàro summability. In the paper under review, the results of Ince are extended to \(A\)-summability, defined by a regular factorable normal matrix \(A\). Let \(A=\left( a_{nk}\right) \) be a matrix with \(a_{nk}=a_{n}b_{k}\) \(\left( n,k\in \mathbb{N}\right) ,\) where \(\left( i\right) \) \(a=\left( a_{n}\right) \in c_{0}\) is strictly decreasing, \(\left( ii\right) \) \(b=\left( b_{n}\right) \) is nondecreasing with \(a_{n}b_{n}\rightarrow 0,\) and \(\left( iii\right) \) \(a_{n}\sum_{k=1}^{n}b_{k}\rightarrow 1\) \(\left( n\rightarrow \infty \right) .\) By the authors' definition, an \(FK\)-space \(X\) is \(A\)-wedge if the rows of \(A\) converge to 0 in \(X.\) For a \(z=\left( z_{n}\right) \) and an index sequence \(s=\left( s_{n}\right) \) with \(s_{1}=0,\) the authors define \(V_{0}^{b}\left( z\right) :=\{x\in c_{0}\mid \sum_{n}\left| z_{n}\right| \left| \Delta \left( x_{n}b_{n}^{-1}\right) \right| <\infty \}\), \(h_{a}^{b}:=V_{0}^{b}\left( z\right) \) if \(z=\left( a_{n}^{-1}\right)\), and \(c_{a}^{b}\left| s\right| :=\{x\in c_{0}\mid \sup_{n}\sum_{j=s_{n}+1}^{s_{n+1}}\left| a_{j}^{-1}\right| \left| \Delta \left( x_{j}b_{j}^{-1}\right) \right| <\infty \}\). It is proved that all these sequence spaces are \(BK\)-spaces, \(h_{a}^{b}\) and \(c_{a}^{b}\left| s\right| \) are not \(A\)-wedge. The following theorem is a generalization of the main results of the above-mentioned papers. Theorem 4.1. The following conditions are equivalent for an \(FK\)-space \(X\): \(\left( a\right) \) \(X\) is an \(A\)-wedge space, \(\left( b\right) \) \(X\) contains \(V_{0}^{b}\left( z\right) \) for some \(z=\left( z_{n}\right) \) such that \(z_{n}=o\left( a_{n}^{-1}\right)\), \(\left( c\right) \) \(X\) contains \(c_{a}^{b}\left| s\right| \) for some index sequence \(s\) and the inclusion \(I:c_{a}^{b}\left| s\right| \rightarrow X\) is compact, \(\left( d\right) \) \(X\) contains \(h_{a}^{b}\) and the inclusion \(I:h_{a}^{b}\rightarrow X\) is compact.
