This paper deals with the coefficient perturbation of regular matrix polynomials with finite spectra into a matrix polynomial having a prescribed eigenvalue with a determined algebraic multiplicity and index annihilation. For these, given an \(n \times n\) matrix polynomial and a complex scalar \(\mu\), the author introduces two weighted spectral norm distances to the matrix polynomials having \(\mu\) as eigenvalue with algebraic multiplicity no less than \(r\) and index of annihilation \(k\), then a lower bound and a upper bound for the spectral norm distances depending on \(r\) and \(k\) are obtained. Some examples illustrate the presented theory.
