This paper is concerned with the following reaction-diffusion equation NEWLINE\[NEWLINEu_t=D(x)u_{xx}-d(x,u)+\int_{R}\Gamma(\tau, x,y) b(y, u(t-\tau,y))dy NEWLINE\]NEWLINE and \(u(\theta, x)=u_0(\theta,x)\), \(\theta\in [-\tau,0].\) The functions \(D, d\) and \(b\) are \(L\)-periodic and the kernel \(\Gamma>0\) satisfies \(0<\int_{\mathbb R} \Gamma(\tau, x,y)dy\leq 1\) and \(\Gamma(\tau, \cdot, \cdot)\) is \(L\)-periodic. The approach relies on the functional analysis of the principal value of the nonlocal linear operator generated around the wavefronts. It is shown that all noncritical wavefronts are globally exponentially stable provided the initial perturbation is uniformly bounded in a weighted space. Some generalizations to the \(n\)-dimensional space are also presented with many applications.
