The author considers the Navier-Stokes equations in the 2-D infinite channel with constant cross section; the space-periodic conditions in the infinite direction are assumed, together with the Dirichlet boundary condition on the upper and lower boundary.NEWLINENEWLINEThe problem of stabilization of the parabolic laminar profile via the streamwise (tangential) control is studied. The author shows the exponentially asymptotic feedback stability of the linear system and applies a fixed-point method to show also the exponentially asymptotic feedback stability of the nonlinear system (for small initial conditions).
