In the paper the definitionist programme of predicativist mathematics originating with H. Poincaré and H. Weyl is discussed. Its principal advantages and disadvantages are identified and a recipe for liberalizing this programme is proposed. This liberalized version synthesizes nominalism, predicative flexible type theory and modal-structuralism. For the entire collection see [Zbl 0897.00021].
