Existence of a global weak solution to compressible primitive equations (Q424748)

In this paper the authors study two-dimensional compressible primitive equations (CPEs) of the atmosphere dynamic modeling. By changing of variables, they reduce the problem to the system that has been investigated by \textit{B. V. Gatapov} and \textit{A. V. Kazhikhov} [Sib. Mat. Zh. 46, No. 5, 1011--1020 (2005); translation in Sib. Math. J. 46, No. 5, 805--812 (2005; Zbl 1119.35067)] and thus get the global weak existence.
