      The left-definite Sturm-Liouville Problems (SLPs) NEWLINE\[NEWLINE-y^{\prime \prime} + qy = \lambda \omega y, \quad x \in J=[a, b]NEWLINE\]NEWLINE with \(q, \omega \in L^1(J, \mathbb{R})\), \(\omega\) changing sign on \(J\), accompanied with coupled boundary conditions are considered. Exploiting the properties of the right-definite two parameter equations NEWLINE\[NEWLINE-y^{\prime \prime} + qy - \lambda \omega y = \xi |\omega| y,\quad x \in J,NEWLINE\]NEWLINE the authors obtain relations between the eigenvalues of left-definite SLPs with coupled BCs and separated BCs. Also, an algorithm for computing the index of a given eigenvalue for the left-definite SLPs with coupled boundary conditions is constructed.
