The author develops a theory for linear equations with constant coefficients. Based on this theory, he converts polynomial ordinary differential equations into first-order linear ordinary differential equations with constant coefficients and quadratic equations. General solutions of polynomial ordinary differential equations is also considered. Necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of a solution are discussed.
