Boundary value problems for difference equations with causal operators (Q425443)

This paper is devoted to existence and uniqueness of solutions to boundary value problems for two classes of difference equations with causal operators. To show the existence of solutions, the author uses the monotone iterative method combined with lower and upper solutions. Sufficient conditions are also obtained so that the boundary value problem with causal operators that satisfy one-sided Lipschitz condition has a unique solution in a sector defined by the lower and upper solutions. Two examples are given for illustration.
