In this paper, the authors considered the Bézier variant of BBH-Kantorovich operators \({J_{n,\alpha }}f\) for measurable functions \(f\) and locally bounded on the interval \(\left[ {0,\infty } \right)\) with \(\alpha \geq 1\). By using the Chanturiya modulus of variation they estimated the rate of pointwise convergence of these operators \({J_{n,\alpha }}f(x)\) at the points \(x > 0\) of continuity of \(f\) and at the discontinuity points of the first kind of \(f\). They formulated their results for \({J_{n,\alpha }}f\) with \(\alpha \geq 1\). The recent result of \textit{L. Chen} and \textit{X.-M. Zeng} [J. Inequal. Appl. 2009, Article ID 852897, 10 p. (2009; Zbl 1185.41017)] was extended to more general classes of functions by the authors.
