The paper under review consists of two parts. The first one is a continuation of \textit{V.\ P.\ Platonov} and \textit{D.\ Ž.\ Doković} [Math.\ Ann.\ 303, No.\ 1, 165--184 (1995; Zbl 0836.20065)]. We use the standard notation \(\mathfrak{gl}(n^2)\) for the Lie algebra of all operators of the space \(M_n(F)\) of all \(n\times n\) matrices over a field \(F\). Under the assumption that \(n\geq5\) and \(F\) is an algebraically closed field of characteristic \(0\), the authors give a complete list of Lie subalgebras of \(\mathfrak{gl}(n^2)\) that contain all inner derivations of \(M_n(F)\). In the other part, \(F\) denotes an arbitrary field of characteristic different from \(2\). Let \(A\) be a centrally closed prime algebra over \(F\) (the centrally closure of \(A\) means that the extended centroid of \(A\) coincides with \(F\)). Assume that \(A\) has a unique minimal ideal \(M\). The authors show that if \(Z(A)\cap[M,A]=0\), then the associative algebra generated by all inner derivations of \(A\) acts densely on \([M,A]\).
