An appropriate discretization in time scheme is considered for approximating the solution of the nonlinear integro-differential Sobolev type equation NEWLINE\[NEWLINE \frac{\partial v}{\partial t} - \frac{\partial^2 v}{\partial x^2} - \lambda \frac{\partial^3 v}{\partial x^2 \partial t} = g(x,t) + \int_0^t a(t-s) k(s,v(x,s))ds, NEWLINE\]NEWLINE \((x,t) \in D,\) \(D = (0,1) \times [0,T]\) with integral conditions. The authors construct a discrete numerical solution of the discretized problem. Then, some a priori estimates for the approximations are derived, while the convergence of the method and the well posedness of the problem under study are established.
