Using a well-known result of \textit{S. Ruscheweyh} [Convolutions in geometric function theory. Montreal, Quebec, Canada: Les Presses de l'Universite de Montreal (1982; Zbl 0499.30001)], the authors show that the class of convex functions of order \(\alpha\) is closed under convolution with pre-starlike functions of order \(\alpha\). They also show that if \(g\) is pre-starlike of order \(\alpha\), \(F\) is convex of order \(\alpha\), \(f\) analytic with \(f\prec F\), then \(g*f\prec g*F\). Some results related to subordinating factor sequence are also given. Some extension of the first result is given by the reviewer in [J. Indian Acad. Math. 26, No. 1, 35--45 (2004; Zbl 1069.30022)] and by \textit{S. Supramaniam} et al. in [Bull. Malays. Math. Sci. Soc. (2) 32, No. 3, 351--360 (2009; Zbl 1176.30065)].
