One gives two types of singularities of maps between 4\(q\)-manifolds whose Thom polynomials with integer coefficients have nonvanishing coefficients of Pontrjagin class \(P_q\) (see \textit{L. M. Fehér} and \textit{R. Rimányi} [Ill. J. Math. 46, No. 4, 1145--1158 (2002; Zbl 1029.57028)], \textit{R. Rimányi} [Invent. Math. 143, No. 3, 499--521 (2001; Zbl 0985.32012)], and \textit{T. Ohmoto} [Rep. Fac. Sci., Kagoshima Univ., Math. Phys. Chem. 27, 1--12 (1994; Zbl 0839.58010)]). It is shown that an element of the \(J\)-image of dimension \(4q-1\) has a fold map between \(S^{4q-1}\) and can be detected by the leading terms of Pontrjagin polynomials of those singularities of an extended map between \(D^{4q}\) of the fold map (see also, by the author [Publ. Res. Inst. Math. Sci. 23, No. 1, 195--207 (1987; Zbl 0707.58014)]).
