Some similarity aspects for contraction operators of class \(C_0\) are studied. In the case when the minimal function of \(T\) is a Blaschke product with simple roots forming a Carleson sequence, it is shown that the quasisimilarity relation between \(T\) and the Jordan block corresponding to the minimal function becomes similarity. The main problem studied here is if, under the additional assumption that every inner divisor \(u\) of the minimal function \(u(T)\) has closed range, the quasisimilarity between \(T\) and the Jordan block corresponding to the minimal function becomes similarity. The paper is written in an attractive way, presenting the background and motivation of the problem in the introduction and the second section. In the third section, the case of Blaschke product with multiplicity one of the roots is analyzed. The fourth section gives a characterization of Carleson sequences in terms of operators of class \(C_0\) having the minimal function as a Blaschke product. Extending the similarity results to the case when the multiplicities of the roots of the minimal function are bounded, the main result of the paper is obtained in the fifth section, solving the studied problem.
