    The author shows the following two results: a) If \(f_0,\dots, f_n\) are linearily independent holomorphic functions on a domain \(\Omega\subseteq \mathbb C\), then there exists a discrete subset \(S\) of \(\Omega\) such that for every \(g=\sum_{j=0}^n \lambda_j f_j\), \(\lambda_j\in \mathbb C\), \(g\not\equiv 0\), the zeros of \(g\) of multiplicity at least \(n\) are contained in \(S\). The proof is a simple application of the Wronskian determined by the \(f_j\). b) If \(f_0,\dots, f_n\) are linearily independent in the Hardy space \(H^1_n=\{f\in H^1: f^{(n)}\in H^1\}\) of higher order, then there is a singular inner function \(S\) such the singular inner factor of \(g=\sum_{j=0}^n \lambda_j f_j\), \(\lambda_j\in \mathbb C\), \(g\not\equiv 0\), divides \(S\).
