      Basing on his previous work [\textit{G. Xiong}, Acta Math. Sci., 14, No. 1, 69-89 (Chinese) (1994)], the author gives a few representations concerning the Euler constant \(\gamma\) and obtains an estimate for \(\gamma\). The main result is as follows: Let \(m\in\mathbb{N}\) and \(n\in\mathbb{N}\cup \{0\}\). Then \[ \gamma= G_n(m)+ (-1)^n R_n(m);\tag{i} \] \[ G_{2(p- 1)}(m)<\gamma< G_{2q-1}(m)\text{ for all }p,q\in\mathbb{N};\tag{ii} \] and \[ \gamma- G_n(m)\sim (-1)^n \beta_{2(n+ 1)}/(2(n+ 1) m^{2(n+ 1)})\quad (m\to\infty),\tag{iii} \] where \(G_n(m)= \sum^m_{k= 1} {1\over k}- {1\over 2m}-\log m+ \sum^n_{r= 1}(-1)^{r-1}\beta_{2r}/(2rm^{2r})\), \(R_n(m)\) is a certain double series, and \(\beta_{2r}\) \((r\geq 1)\) are some finite series with positive terms (we omit their expressions because they are too complex).
