      The authors consider the singular parabolic equation \(u_t = \Delta \ln u\) and prove that, under a suitable hypothesis (i.e. the solutions must belong to suitable Sobolev spaces), the solutions can be seen as the limit of solutions of the porous medium equation (with positive and negative exponent). Their approach is entirely local and it is based on very deep Harnack estimates proved by the same authors in previous papers.
