Some new properties of the rigid locally free actions of nilpotent Lie groups are established. It is proven that there exist a nontrivial real nilpotent Lie group \(G\) and a compact manifold \(V\) with \(\dim(V) = \dim(G)+1\) such that all locally free \(C^\infty\) actions of \(G\) on \(V\) are \(C^\infty\)-conjugated to one another. A family of two parameter groups \(G_{x, y}\) is constructed and an action \(\Phi_{x, y}\) of each group \(G_{x, y}\) on the manifold \(V\) is defined. The properties of these objects are studied in detail. It is shown that if \(x\) and \(y\) are rational then \(\Phi_{x, y}\) has an non-empty open set of compact orbits. For other cases it is established that there is a diffeomorphism \(\sigma\) of \(C^\infty\) class defined in \(V\) such that the action \((g,p)\rightarrow \sigma(\Phi(g,\sigma^{-1}(p)))\) has the same orbits as \(\Phi_{x, y}\) itself. In addition, if the foliation of \(V\) by the orbits of \(\Phi_{x, y}\) satisfies some criteria of cohomology then the actions \(\Phi\) and \(\Phi_{x, y}\) are conjugated themselves. The proofs of the theorems are given in an appendix where it is shown that the assumptions adopted in their statements are satisfied generically.
