Let \({\mathcal C}\) be the category of local topological \({\mathfrak O}\)-algebras \(A\) over a noetherian local ring \({\mathfrak O}\) with the residue field \(k\), which satisfy the following two conditions: The natural map \({\mathfrak O}\to A/\mathfrak m_A\) is surjective and the map from \(A\) to the projective limit of its discrete artinian quotient is a topological isomorphism. If \(V\) is an absolutely irreducible representation of a profinite group \(G\) over the residue field \(k\) of a noetherian local ring \({\mathfrak O}\), then (1) there are a ring \(R\) in \({\mathcal C}\) and a deformation \(D\in\text{Def}(V,R)\) such that for all rings \(A\) in \({\mathcal C}\) we have a bijection \(\text{Hom}_{{\mathcal C}}(R,A)\to\text{Def}(V,A)\) given by \(f\to f_*(D)\); (2) the pair \((R,D)\) is determined up to a unique \({\mathcal C}\)-isomorphism by the property in (1); (3) the ring \(R\) is noetherian if and only if \(\text{dim}_kH^1(G,\text{End}_k(V))<\infty\); (4) if \(R\) is noetherian then the following holds: \(R\) is \(\mathfrak m_R\)-adically complete and for each \(A\) in \({\mathcal C}\) we have a well-defined bijection \(\text{Hom}_{{\mathfrak O}-\text{Alg}}(R,A)\to\text{Def}(V,A)\) given by \(f\to f_*(D)\) (theorem 2.3).
