In the paper under review, the author supplements and extends results on Besicovitch triangles given in the joint paper with \textit{P. Coulton} [Geom. Dedicata 123, 79--88 (2006; Zbl 1119.52010)]. It is shown that the range of the base angle of a Besicovitch triangle, i.e., an isosceles triangle with the property that it contains a congruent copy of each unit arc, is at least \([\pi/4,\pi/3]\).
