The present paper deals with fixed point theory in complete metric spaces. The authors establish some new types of fixed point theorems, generalizing and improving some known ones, such as Nadler's fixed point theorem, Berinde-Berinde's fixed point theorem, and Mizoguchi-Takahashi's fixed point theorem. Using their new results, they also obtain some coincidence point theorems.
