Fixed points of asymptotic pointwise nonexpansive mappings in modular spaces (Q442870)

Summary: \textit{W. A. Kirk} and \textit{H.-K. Xu} [Nonlinear Anal., Theory Methods Appl., Ser. A, Theory Methods 69, No. 12, 4706--4712 (2008; Zbl 1172.47038)] studied the existence of fixed points of asymptotic pointwise nonexpansive mappings in the Banach space. In this paper, we investigate these kinds of mappings in modular spaces. Moreover, we prove the existence of fixed points of asymptotic pointwise nonexpansive mappings in modular spaces. The results improve and extend the corresponding results of Kirk and Xu to modular spaces.
