Computation of rotation numbers for a class of PL-circle homeomorphisms (Q445208)

The authors focuses on piecewise linear circle homeomorphisms satisfying the \((D)\)-property (which means that the product of \(f\)-jumps in the break points \(x\), \(\frac{Df_{-}(x)}{Df_{+}(x)}\), on each orbit is \(1\)). For these homeomorphisms they give a formula to compute the rotation number. As particular cases they explicit the way of computing the rotation numbers of piecewise linear Herman's examples and affine Boshernitzan.
