Different questions connected with the study of quasiconformal mappings, functions of bounded mean oscillation and the space of bounded functions are studied. A mapping \(f\) is called \(K\)-quasiconformal if and only if \(f\in W_{\text{loc}}^{1,n}\) and \(\| f^{\prime}(x)\|^n\leq K\cdot J_f(x)\), where \(\| f^{\prime}(x)\|:=\sup\limits_{h=1}|f^{\prime}(x)h|,\) \(J_f(x)\) is a Jacobian of \(f\) at \(x\) and \(K<\infty\) is some constant. A function \(u\) is said to belong to the class BMO in \({\mathbb R}^n\) if and only if \(\sup\frac{1}{|Q|}\int\limits_Q |u(x)-u_Q|dm(x)<\infty\), where the supremum is taken over all cubes \(Q\) in \({\mathbb R}^n\) and \(u_Q=\frac{1}{|Q|}\int\limits_Q u(x)dm(x)\) is the integral average of \(u\) under \(Q\). One of the main results is the following statement. Let \(f:{\mathbb R}^n\rightarrow {\mathbb R}^n\) be a \(K\)-quasiconformal mapping and \(u\in \mathrm{BMO}\) in \({\mathbb R}^n\). Then \(\varepsilon(u\circ f^{\,-1})\leq C(n, K)\cdot\varepsilon(u)\), where \(\varepsilon(u)\) is some function which is equivalent to the distance to the space \(L^{\infty}({\mathbb R}^n)\) in the space \(\mathrm{BMO}({\mathbb R}^n)\). Hence, given a \(K\)-quasiconformal mapping \(f:{\mathbb R}^2\rightarrow{\mathbb R}^2\) we have that \(\varepsilon(\log J_f)\leq K-1\). Finally, given a \(K\)-quasiconformal mapping \(f:{\mathbb R}^n\rightarrow{\mathbb R}^n\) and an exponentially integrable function \(u\), \[ \text{dist}_{\text{EXP\,}(f(\Omega))}\left(u\circ f^{\,-1}, L^{\,\infty}(f(\Omega))\right)\leq C(n, K)\cdot \text{dist}_{\text{EXP\,}(\Omega)}\left(u, L^{\,\infty}(\Omega)\right), \] where \(\text{dist}_{\text{EXP\,}(\Omega)}\left(u, L^{\,\infty}(\Omega)\right)\) is well defined.
