    The paper deals with the following \((p,q)\)-Laplacian elliptic system: \[ \begin{cases} -\Delta_p u= \lambda \alpha (x)F_u(u,v)+\mu\beta (x)G_u(u,v)&\text{in}\,\, \Omega\\ -\Delta_q v= \lambda \alpha (x)F_v(u,v)+\mu\beta (x)G_v(u,v)&\text{in}\,\, \Omega\\ u=v=0 &\text{on}\,\,\partial \Omega, \end{cases} \] where \(1<p\), \(q<N;\, \Omega=\omega\times \mathbb R^{N-m}\subset \mathbb R^N\) is a strip-like domain, with \(\omega\) is a bounded domain in \(\mathbb R^m\) with smooth boundary, \(N-m\geq 2\); \(\lambda, \mu \geq 0\) are parameters and \(\alpha, \beta \in L^1(\Omega)\cap L^\infty(\Omega).\) By assuming, some suitable growth conditions on the nonlinearities \(F\) and \(G\) and imposing a certain condition on the potential \(\alpha\), the authors provide a multiplicity result, consisting of at least three distinct, axially symmetric weak solutions, for the above system by applying an abstract result due to \textit{B. Ricceri} [Nonlinear Anal., Theory Methods Appl., Ser. A, Theory Methods 71, No. 9, A, 4151--4157 (2009; Zbl 1187.47057), Theorem 2].
