Optimally scaled vector regularization method to solve ill-posed linear problems (Q450287)

The paper is related to a previous one by \textit{C.-S. Liu, H.-K. Hong} and \textit{S. N. Atluri} [CMES, Comput. Model. Eng. Sci. 60, No. 3, 279--308 (2010; Zbl 1231.65071)] where the authors proposed a novel regularization method, in which they use a regularization vector instead of the classical single parameter regularization Tikhonov method. In the present paper, the author proposes a method which optimizes the construction of this regularization vector. Numerical examples presented show a better behavior of this algorithm compared with the classical Tikhonov one.
