In this paper, a procedure for the solution of a linear system of integral equations is proposed. It consists of three main steps. The requisite steps include transforming the original system into a matrix polynomial equation by choosing an appropriate integral operator. Then, using the Smith canonical form as well as involving the solution of the transformed equation, leads to a reduced system. Finally, under certain suitable conditions, the desired solution of the altered system can be found by any classical method.
