The paper deals with the \(C^*\)-algebras that arise from the generalized crossed product construction applied to affine maps on compact abelian groups. Necessary and sufficient conditions for strong transitivity of affine maps are given when the group is a torus. For tori of dimension \(\leq 3\), a complete description and classification of the simple \(C^*\)-algebras from strongly transitive affine maps is given. For non-injective affine maps, the \(C^*\)-algebras are purely infinite, hence are completely determined by their \(K\)-theory, and the injective case, which arises from minimal affine homeomorphisms, is treated separately.
