The authors, as they write, ``analyze the stochastic comparison of continuous time Markov chains with state space \(E= \{0,1,2,\dots\}^N\) used as models for \(N\)-component systems.'' It is shown, in their words, ``how, under some assumptions on the transitions allowed in the chains, the conditions can be greatly simplified, writing them in terms of conditions for each component. As an application [they] give the necessary and sufficient conditions for the stochastic comparability of two batch-arrival assemble-transfer queueing networks in terms of conditions for their single stations, improving previous results on the subject'' (from the abstract). After the Introduction and notation, in Section 2 the main result is given as Theorem 1. Two applications are developed in Section 3. The first refers to the bath-arrival assemble-transfer queueing networks and the second regards interacting particle systems with multiple births, deaths and jumps. The last section is reserved for Conclusions and future work.
