Essentially, this book is a what-if scenario of modern economic growth theory. Whilst written in 2014, the book contains hardly any references to the work on the same topic published between the late 1960s and now. This is both a shame and a benefit of the book. It is a benefit because the analysis provides an insight of how the economic analysis of a decentralized economy would have developed if it hadn't been for the likes of Kenneth Arrow, Tjalling Koopmans, Robert Lucas and many others. It is a shame because the topic has been studied very extensively over the last 60 years and it is unclear how much is learnt by reading this book.
