The authors consider the initial boundary value problem for the system of two nonlinear second order hyperbolic equations \[ \begin{aligned} &\rho_s u_{tt}=(\mu(u_x)u_x)_x-\rho_l^2((u-v)\chi(u-v))_t,\; x\in (0,L), \; t\in (0,T)\\ &\rho_lv_t=\rho_l^2(u-v)\chi(u-v), \; x\in (0,L), \; t\in (0,T)\\ & u|_{t=0}=u_0(x),\;u_t|_{t=0}=u_1(x),\;\; x\in (0,L), \\ & v|_{t=0},\;\; x\in (0,L), \\ & \mu(u_x)u_x|_{x=L}=f(t),, \; t\in (0,T)\\ & u|_{x=0},\;\; t\in (0,T), \end{aligned} \] describing the motion (usually oscillations) of an elastic porous body with the constant partial density \(\rho_s\) in a fluid of constant partial density \(\rho_l\) with the aim to prove the existence and uniqueness theorem of a classical solution \(u\in C^{3,2}([0,L]\times[0,T]), v\in C^{0,1}([0,L]\times[0,T])\) at the given \(\mu, \chi,\rho_s \) and \(\rho_l\) and the unique solvability theorem for the inverse dynamical problem for porous media (given additional information \(\widetilde{u}:=u(L,\cdot)\), determine \(u,v\) and \(\mu\) at the given \( \chi,\rho_s \) and \(\rho_l\)) together with some stability estimates for the function \(\mu\).
