On the Ginzburg-Landau functional in the surface superconductivity regime (Q462893)

This paper establishes several qualitative and asymptotic results for the minimizers of the Ginzburg-Landau energy functional with applied magnetic field. In the first part of this paper, the authors establish the leading order of the energy and density for general domains. Next, they obtain refined energy estimates in the case of the disc. The proofs combine decay estimates for the Ginzburg-Landau order parameter with a clever choice of the gauge and a replacement of the induced vector potential by the external one.
