The subject of the paper are field theories on the torus with \(\mathcal{N}=(2,2)\) or \(\mathcal{N}=(0,2)\) supersymmetry and rank-one gauge symmetry, called gauged linear sigma models. These theories allow the computation of the partition function called elliptic genus by supersymmetric localization. This computation is the main content of the paper. Among the explicit examples are the quintic Calabi-Yau, \(\mathcal{N}=(2,2)\) \(\mathrm{SU}(2)\) and \(\mathrm{O}(2)\) gauge theories coupled to \(N\) fundamental chiral multiplets, and a geometric \(\mathcal{N}=(0,2)\) model.
