In affine differential geometry one studies properties of hypersurfaces of \(\mathbb R^{n+1}\) which are invariant under equiaffine transformations. By far the most studied class of such affine hypersurfaces is the class of affine spheres. An affine hypersurface is a proper affine sphere if and only if all the affine normals pass through a fixed point. In contrast to the Euclidean case, affine spheres are abundant and despite the work of many famous geometers, solving amonst others the famous Calabi conjecture, few explicit examples are known until today. First the author gives a classification of some semi-homogeneous cones in \(\mathbb R^3\) and then uses the relation between hyperbolic affine spheres and cones in order to obtain explicit analytical examples of hyperbolic affine spheres.
