The author generalizes one of the basic theorems of hypercomplex analysis, the so-called Fueter theorem. Such a theorem was first formulated in the 1930th by R. Fueter for quaternions and later transferred to higher dimensions above all through the works of M. See, F. Sommen and T. Qian. Nowadays, Fueter's theorem can also be interpreted in terms of classical representation theory. The slice monogenic function theory is related to the branching problem for the corresponding spin group. Otherwise Fueter's theorem and Gegenbauer polynomials are important tools. Here Jacobi polynomials are used, which are connected with Gegenbauer polynomials. An idea associated to slice monogenic function theory follows: the branching with respect to \(\text{Spin}(m-p)\), \(p>1\). The main result is given with a new Fueter type theorem: Theorem. Let \(f(z^2)\) be a holomorphic function in an open neighborhood \(B(0,R)\), then \[ \Delta^{{m-2\over 2}} \sigma^+_p[f(z^2)]\in \ker\underline\partial_x, \] where \(m=p+q\) is even and \[ \sigma^+_p[f(z)]= \sigma^+_p[u(x,y)+ iv(x,y)]:= u(\underline x_p|, |\underline x_q|)+ \underline\omega_q \underline\omega_p v(|\underline x_p|, |\underline x_q|). \] Difficulties are discussed in the case that \(m\) is an odd number.
